Exhaust leak under acceleration?

My 09 taco 2.7 makes a sound when I accelerate. It seems to coming from the passenger side and is sounds like rushing air, so naturally I assume its an exhaust leak. I read on this site that this is normal? Is this really just the nature of owning a 2nd Taco? My 89 Toyo "pickup" didn't make this noise.

Appreciate any input.

 

I'm pretty sure it's something with the header design. Mine does it too. I've crawled under it in a pit and found no leaks yet it still resembles an old Jeep sound when under light to moderate acceleration.

 

On the V6's the intake is on the passenger side, not sure about the I4 but can you hear the intake sucking air?

On the 2.7 the intake and exhaust are on the passenger side, but the intake manifold and throttle body are on the driver's side.
