Exhaust Melting Bumper. Help a brother out.

    Hello Tacoma Homies. I have seen a similar thread awhile back. Cant seen to find. Same story different truck. My exhaust seems to be pressed against my bumper, causeing not only rattling but also very minor body damage as it it melting into the bumper. Not sure if the exhaust hanger is at fault. Please send any insight my way. I'm a half assed mechanic and I'm the only asshole allowed to work on my truck unless 100% nessecary. Also have considered cutting the exhaust after the rear end "hump" Let me know what you think. Photos below.

    That exhaust hanger is inverted. If you flip it down the exhaust should clear the body by several inches.

    I just cut the tail pipe off when this happened to me :rofl:It only gets in the way, ya don't need it.

    Cut it off after the axel so it acts as a turn down. Problem solved plus looks better.
