Your not spending $400+ for mileage...
its for sound, looks, and longevity (ss doesn't rust).

Had my TRD on since fall 05. Overall mileage the same, except one area. With 6spd short gearing, it revs about 300 rpms more than the auto on the interstate. I gained about 1 mpg at interstate speeds.

the best way to gain hp is to put on the TRD decals, roughly 12 hp each!

If I talk fast enough my wife might let me spend $400+ for mileage..... I just want the TRD exhaust to have it, my only problem is I also want so much other crap that I don't need..... I think the TRD cat back is a little over priced. Just one of those things I want and just might be able to get but right when I get ready to put in my C/C ## i second guess myself.

gun or exhaust..... bigger tires or new laptop..... lift kit or new golf clubs.... these are just a few of my issues:D Although, I could probably pick up clubs on craigs list for cheap.

    I just dont know!

Nope! I Dynoed an Airaid system on a 4.7 Dodge v8 and lost 3 h.p. These "cold air" intakes are drawing air in from the engine bay, which = HOT air. For every 18* F. you loose 3% h.p. Unless the intake is getting air from outside the engine bay ( which the stock one and the URD system both do), you may be looseing power.

I purchased the Gibson exhaust on sale for $260 with free shipping and after a couple of tanks of gas it looks like Im getting about 1 mpg more. I dont think 2 tanks of gas is enough for a good test but I dont want to wait a month or more to respond. :p

Best part was it only took an hour to change. Im still surprised how easy this truck is to work on.

Thanks for the info ND! I'm glad I bought the TRD Sport for those stickers. I'm gonna go buy a bunch more and cover my entire truck with them.

I have a Borla exhaust I paid about $630 with shipping several years ago. I'm not a mechanical or car expert, but I do believe it's a Cat-Back exhaust system (watch someone come and tell me, "you fool, cat-backs are the only kind we can use!!").

Yeah, I think better fuel economy is bogus. If it isn't, it's because most of us who put on exhausts want to hear that shit too, let alone say, "yeah I get more HP out of it too." So very few of us actually drive it like it should be driven to get the best mileage by default to begin with.

I would definitely say, from what I've read, that ECU tuning is your best bet for significant improvement, if any.
