    Hey guys,

So as some of you may have seen in the newbie thread I just purchased a 2002 Tacoma Xtracab with a 5spd and supercharger. It's awesome, though needs a decent amount of work to get back up and pass inspection. One of these things is the exhaust setup. It currently has a pretty ghetto looking flow master ish setup. Goes from the headers, to a single, to a y split, to duals all the way out the back. I can't comprehend why somebody would have done this. But, I want to get it back to a simple dumped over the rear axle kind of setup. Flowmaster has a sweet product for the 3rd gen 4runner called the overland series and it dumps the exhaust up high right behind the rear tire on the passenger side. I'd probably have to do something custom but any ideas? What have you guys done?

    Thanks!
    Nick

    Welcome to the Forum !

I have been using Walker Exhaust Products for years I like the stock type exhaust .

Is yours the 2.7 or the 3.4 ?

It’s a 3.4… has the stock headers. Looking for something louder than stock but not a straight pipe setup.
    Thanks!

Did you happen to buy this off of Craigslist in Maryland or Virginia? I saw what I think is the same truck a few weeks ago. I ended up passing on it but it sure was tempting!

My super 44 flow master. Definitely on the louder side but nowhere near like a straight pipe. Obviously no video will do real justice but still you get the idea of how something sounds.
    Borla is popular too.

    Yes!!!

Well kind of... My buddy was looking for a rig to take to Montana and sent it to me like "Hey Nick this thing is manual and supercharged and its cheap what do you think?". I told him it was probably going to need a bit of work to get registered in MD. My brother has an 02 4runner that needed much of the same thing. So he bought it. He couldn't get it fixed enough in the month he had between buying it and going out west. So he listed it for sale. I wasn't interested for a while. But a couple weeks later he said he'd cut me a deal on it jokingly. But I took it and now I had my dad go pick it up for me because I'm currently at school. It's going to be in and out of shops for the next month or so but should be all cleaned up and ready to rock for spring semester!! Not ideal shape but it has solid bones and its a supercharged manual. Funny you picked that up! I think he bought it about a month and a half ago.

I'll make sure to keep people updated!

That sounds awesome! Little louder than my brother's 4runner. Definitely like it. Just needs to not drive me insane on a 13 hour drive 2-4 times a year haha.
