Hey there I’ve been thinking about what cat back system is like to put on my 2000 3.4 taco but I don’t know if I just wanna do a Flowmaster super 40, Gibson cat back or magnaflow catback, if anyone has any input or sound clips with those systems please share it with me! Thanks!

I am fixing to do some exhaust work on my 2001 3.4. The truck had a flowmaster already on it when I bought it back in 2007. Personally I think it sounds terrible. It definitely doesn't have the deep sound of a v-8. I have wanted to get rid of it for years. One of the cat converters is stopped up and I am debating replacing it with something quieter.

I'm running a Gibson Cat back and with a Doug Thorley Tri Y header it sounds awesome

Just installed a Gibson SS cat back swept side today and first impressions is much better sound than stock, esp with the V6, and my butt-o-metrr says better acceleration and quicker revving engine.

I have a FlowMaster super 44 series with 3” pipe out, gives a bit lower rumble. I like it a lot but it definitely wakes the neighbors in the morning lol. I’ll try to post a cold start here tomorrow.

    Tasteful modifications :)
Personally I like the sound of the cherry bombs on the 3RZ’s, but not everyone likes them. It kind of has the rumble of a Subaru Boxer engine and sounds similar :notsure:
