except that if you're ONLY doing a, lets say TRD, catback, you're not increasing the exhaust flow at all. Its still restricted by the headers and mid-pipe. If you do the whole exhaust, then yea, maybe its worth doing an intake as well, however, it'd be worth knowing the TB size, b/c if the additional air from the intake is only going to bottleneck as it gets further into the engine, theres also no point in doing that either  Just playing devils advocate here obviously. I think 99% of people do an exhaust for tone, not increased flow btw. The others are running a SC and need the flow.

I have an MBRP Cool Duals installed on my Tacoma...I love the way it sounds and the Dual exhaust tips get looks from other Taco owners when they drive by.

    Sooo we need sound clips!!

Which exhaust is going to give the deepest note?

Seems all sound clips i can find on YouTube show the V6 being super raspy. Anyone found a solution to this? Any help is appreciated. (my current eyes are drawn to the MBRP Dual)

FlowMaster is tuned for the 4.0 also....I have the drop in K&N filter as I've heard some stories of problems with the full intakes in dusty conditions........Seems to be breathing well enough and sounds great!

anyone know if using an aftermarket exhuast on a 2011 4.0L SUPERCHARGED will void the warranty. Dealership by my house says TRD doesnt make an exhaust kit for my year of Taco. can anyone confirm or deny this?

Most manufacturers haven't updated their catalogs to include '11's...including Toyota TRD parts catalog online. Quite a few guys on here with 2011's are running them from what I've read in the past. I don't think anything has changed from the '10's to '11's.

I had a Flowmaster 50 series with dual outs on my 2006. It was a very good sound. Now, maybe I'm just getting old, but I rather enjoy the quieter notes of the stock exhaust on my 2008.

Props for me for reading ALL 17 pages. Im a total procrastinator and suck at making my mind up about just about everything. After having a BORLA on my '99 Taco, (which i LOVED), and learning that Borla (at the time) WAS the TRD, seems like for my '09 Taco i will give the TRD a shot. I honestly can't justify spending over $600 on the Borla for a cat back at this point. Not to mention living in Alaska SUCKS for shipping rates. I'll save a few hundred bucks and go with the TRD. (yea, i'm going to be that guy)
