Just read through this whole thread. Still debating what to get. Seems a lot of people like the TRD, but fuck they are expensive. I had a FM Super 40 on my Tahoe and loved it. Just worried that might be a little too much for the tacoma

I just purchased the cat back TRD system on www.shoptrd.com for $357.50 no taxes and no shipping charges. Had a $150 gift card I got for Christmas so net I paid a tad over $200....not bad!

I have the Borla cat-back system, it was part of the TSS package my truck has. I love it and wouldn't get any other. I heard various clips on here and YouTube. Borla. Do it. What.

I just got the same setup. I love the sound, and for the price, who can complain.

Put a TRD on it the day after I bought it...Coming from a 5.0 Mustang with no Cats this is a bit of change to me but I'm learning to like it....just enough rumble and sounds good at startup

After 2 years with the TRD kit I kind of wished I went another route. Doesn't sound bad and the tip looks great but wish I had something that makes a little more noise. I've thought about swapping in a different muffler but don't really want to hack this thing up for what it cost.

:D X2. I've never put any mods or work into a previous vehicle. Never really cared. I would rarely even wash cars and spotty maintenance at best. I can't stop adding stuff to my Tacoma and I've been on top of everything when it comes to maintenance.

I know its a pricey muffler but i think the Aeroturbine 2525 sounds GREAT on the 4.0L Taco. I have access to a free Magnaflow muffler so ill prob try that first, but hoping to get an Aeroturbine someday

    Borla.

Not annoying, but growls loudly when you want it to.

I've got over 220K trouble free miles on my TRD Cat back. Sounds much better when you add TRD cold air. Helps fuel mileage too...., if you keep yer foot outa it!

Just installed the Borla cat-back on mine a few weeks ago. It's gotten a little louder over time. Sounds great when I get on it but quite at highway speeds. Got it for a steal on clearance from a local audio shop!

100 times better than stock.. nice low grumble, nothing obnoxious. Sounds great when you get on it, and has a nice low tone at lower RPM's around town.
