Just thought I would visit this thread again and look at the vote totals since it's been several months since I started this thread. It's interesting to me with all the talk about Magnaflow, Borla, etc.. that the TRD has the larger % of the vote for what everyone actually installed on their trucks. Just an interesting sample from those that chose to vote.

Probably folks sticking with TRD to preserve warranty and such. Mostly Borla, TRD, Magnaflow are all straight through design, so sound and performance should have minimal differences... IMO.

Well it runs like it should. Better low-end power, it louder than hell though but I get 400 miles to the tank min. on the highway and 350 in town. ;)

I still like the TRD Exhaust, IMHO sounds the best.

I kust recently installed the TRD cat back and am concerend that sometimes the thing is just too darn loud at low rpm levels. I have another TRD exhaust on my other truck but the new one is much louder. Tough call. Dont want to go crazy as most of the time seems like RPm's are low around town.

How loud is the TRD exhaust when driving with the windows up? I have a 2009 D/C, L/B and was thinking of getting that exhaust if it isn't too loud in the cab.

For you guys with a Flowmaster 40 series, is there a specific size muffler we need or will just about anything fit under there?

If you have a part number that would be cool.

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
I'll be investing in a TRD exhaust in the future.

no one has mentioned spintech's yet... i love my exhaust system... spintechs ar deep and throaty but without that annoying popping you get with the flowmasters when you let off.

If he's goin with some DTLT's then I would go with the TRD, it still gives it that nice deep growl but not overbearing. But if he's not gonna put headers on then I'd go with a magnaflow or flowmaster.
I wanna get the TRD one for my X but no one has given me a straight answer why they are compatible with the X. I think it wont reach past the ground effects(if so Im just gonna get it and have the exhaust shop weld an ext on it.

I wanna see pics/soundclips of this exhaust on your truck. I've heard them on other vehicles and they sound great.
