I have a 2011 tacoma double cab with a full borla exhaust that is a stadard side dump like stock. the exhaust has been on about 5 months and i used rtv sealer on the clamped parts and its not touching anything. But the part that bolts to the car with the 2 bolts with springs on them. Never sems very tight yet i cant even crank them any more but i can wiggle the exhaust and so when i start the motor and or shut ir off i get a loud rattle bc its shaking i think. I used the same gasket and spring bolt things. Do i need new ones of that?

    2011 dbsb 6 speed 4.0 v6. 24k miles.

You probably overtightened the flange and bent it. Look at them and see if they are square or look sucked in. If you bend the flange the donut won't seal, and the hot exhaust gas blowing past will burn the gasket up. Get a new gasket, bend the ears straight, and don't over torque them. It's supposed to move a little bit. The motor flexes under load.

the flanges as on the exhaust pipe or the cat pipe? I tightened the fuck out of it bc it has always wiggled lol. my exhaust is 3" pipe mated to the 2.25 do i need a different gasket for that? can those exhaust springs wear out to?

I assumed you were talking about the exhaust pipe, after the Y, near the muffler. Do you see black soot around it? It's easy to tell if it's leaking and needs a new gasket. Any exhaust shop will be able to fix it pretty cheaply if you can't figure it out. If those springs aren't broken, they are still good. It's easy to bend that flange though.
