Looking for a reputable and experienced shop that can do a reroute for a 3rd gen, anywhere in or between San Bernardino to San Diego. Thanks!!

I haven’t done it yet. Thought I needed to for cat shield RCI trans skid but you don’t. It’s only needed for tcase skid which I might get later.
That being said, if I do it, I will probably go with Ace Muffler.
Talked to the guy there about it. went under the truck to look and lay out ideas.
Was very impressed. Much more so than any other place I went

RCI makes Xfer Skid for stock exhaust. I put it on yesterday.

The version that dips down (less clearance)
without an exhaust reroute seems to defeat the point

You're right. My new xfer case skid got friggin hammered on my Baja trip. So much so, that the plate got smashed up and is now rubbing on the exhaust. That 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch makes a huge difference, as I've done the trail before with stock skids (none covering exhaust) and barely rubbed. I'll be rerouting and getting a new skid asap.

Try to get a shop that can do mandrel pipe bends, they don’t crush the pipe to do it. Also be sure that the crossover pipe is far enough back from the actuator so it doesn’t melt the plastic box.

I ended up going to Speedway Muffler in Norco. I chose to have them tuck it up in the stock location, rather than do the behind the actuator route. $185 and it clears the RCI skid with room to spare. Exhaust.jpg

Thanks for all the advice, I think I’ll go tucked up above the frame in the stock location……appreciate everyone’s help on locations!
