The consensus on the forums seems to be the TRD Exhaust.

Yup yup, Toyotas TRD exhaust has the best sound through consensus, also don't expect HP. (not that you said you were)

The 2019 Tacoma I bought already had the TRD Exhaust installed on it by the dealer. But I had a 2016 Tacoma without the exhaust....and I can say after driving with the TRD Exhaust now for about 7 months I absolutely love it. There is no horsepower gain I can feel, but I do enjoy the additional rumble it gives and I have had no drone what so ever. Other than the price being a bit high on it I would totally recommend it!

TRD exhaust has a slightly more aggressive tone but not loud at all. Only really hear it when accelerating.

I have enjoyed the Magnaflow on my truck. No issues. Has a deeper throaty note.

    Too few to list.
Just a muffler change for sound will the the cheapest option.

Im pretty sure there is HP/TQ gain, but its not enough to be notice in this heavy mid-size truck. An exhaust alone wont be able to make a difference performance wise. Maybe if a Y-pipe and HFPC/PCD were added one will notice.

Curious to know the specs on the TRD exhaust. Maybe it was design just for sound...

Just adding aftemarket headers will change the exh note

( not sure if headers are available for 3rd gen though)

I believe the "headers" are cast into the heads

I wish I saved my money and gone with a Gibson or afe exhaust. The Trd exhaust sounds way better on the 4.0L 2nd gen

Isn't the TRD exhaust just a rebranded Borla exhaust?
