Hey guys, I got a 12" gibson 2.25 inlet clamp on exhaust tip and the damn thing won't fit on!! I cut off the flare and even filed the end of the stock exhaust a bit, but it will not go on. While trying to put it on I also opened the clamp end a bit more with a chisel, yet it still wont go on! What should I do?

Well I bought the clamp on tip, and I cannot get it to fit on the exhaust. I got it on, but its a 2.25 inlet tip and I am pretty sure the stock exhaust is a 2.25 outlet without the flare so I am not able to push it on to the depth I want it. I was told to buy the 2.25 with stock exhaust piping, but obviously it isn't working... I think I may just send it back to autoanything.com and get the 2.5 inlet tip. Will that work?
