Exhaust tip removal...help!

1) YES - Cutting the exhaust just after the axle or exhaust dump (as suggested by @stun gun and @la0d0g )
2) NO - adding or removing the accessory exhaust tip (Toyota's or 3rd Party.... chrome, black, whatever). It will not change the tone or the warranty. This simply covers it for "beauty/appearance".

 

wasn't the question "if you cutoff the exhaust after the axle, will it change the tone?" that's the question i answered. and I'm right.

 

It's the internet - everybody's right. I answered the ambiguous question. My answers and judgement have been known to be questionable.

 

1) I doubt it voids the warranty. Who knows. But I highly doubt it.

2) I didn’t notice a sound difference. There’s a lot of pipe left after the muffler. Gains in clearance and the peace of mind that it’s not gonna snag right the fuck off (damaging the muffler, hangers, and flanges upstream) are worth it to me.

 

I never took mine off. Real easy.
