    That's a lot of cash for a cylinder head. I see reman cylinder heads online for 300-800 dollars.

    I think book time is 22 hours. Labor rates have gone up quite a bit in the last couple years. Most places around me in the northeast are around $150/hour.

    Do you put a new valves, etc. or move them over from the bad head?

    whole dang thing, was typically only 17-19s I never had to do it but saw a few roll through.

    I saw some estimates where they had 2 exhaust valves quoted.

    The early ones they loaded the parts cannon. I think you're right, just the problem valves.

    The very very early ones they only did just the 2 valves. Some also had entire blocks replaced.

    To this date, no one is 1000% sure of how to diagnose it correctly.

    @Bishop84 @Vlady all the ones I’ve seen people post up here according to invoices or word of mouth, were just the problem valves replaced, all the others were moved over and installed. There prob were some early on that replaced all as a precaution.

    Monkey wrench racing for 3.5 heads. You name it they do it…3 angle larger valves dual springs hollow valves…cheaper than a head from Toyota.
