i have a 2.7 access cab and i want to put on an exhaust. Im not sure if i should just do a new muffler or do the whole thing. Is the sound alot better if you do the whole thing instead of just a muffler. also i need some opinions on which exhaust or muffler to get. i want the deepest least ricey sound possible. i know its a 4 cylinder so it wont sound like a v8 but i want the deepest pssible. what brand and model is good?

    Thanks, Mike

+1 on muffler only. Go with Borla. 304 stainless lasts forever, aluminized steel doesn't.

Some like the flowmasters around here. I had a 50 series on my four banger an it sounded pretty good. I have a super 40 now on my 4.0 and I like it.

One positive about a bolt on exhaust is you can always unbolt it if you ever want to get rid of. I've got the Flowmaster American Thunder dual on mine and I like it. Sounds more throaty but definately not like a V8. lol
