Expanding Frame recall?

Some of you have seen my post about my fight with Toyota about my rusting frame. One of my wife's coworker's sister work for Toyota and he was talking to his sister about my issue to see if she could help out. So far no luck, but my wife called me today and told me his sister called him and asked if he had gotten his letter about the frame recall on his truck. He has a 2014. She told him that supposedly they are expanding the frame recall to the newer trucks as well. I'm assuming she meant service campaign as it was not a recall last time. Just wondering if any of you with the newer trucks have received a letter about having your frame checked out or just a warning to look out for it. If this is true, I guess they still have not figured out how to prevent rust on these frames.

 

I have not heard of any new model years being added to the recall yet.

 

I haven't gotten a single letter about a single recall on my 2012.

Only service it's ever had aside from my own hands and ToyotaCare was an ECU reflash to stop pinging.

 

This was a my wife said that her coworker's sister told him that this was happening so he is he said that she said that blah blah blah. I don't know what she does, I just knows that she works for Toyota in some capacity and told him to watch for the recall on his truck. On the other hand I did just get my recall notice for the rear leaf springs for my truck yesterday, who knows she may have been talking about that too.
