Expected lifespan of a 2000 tacoma 4x4?

    I have the exact same truck as you, mines just 02. And my uncle has a 98 T100 ( same 2.7 engine and tranny) with 410,000 miles, never touched the engine or transmission. We live in TN too, plenty of mountains to go up and down, never has give him a problem. Mine only has 152,000 but it's also never give me a problem either. That's the most reliable truck made, it looks pretty clean too.

    People saying that's too high of a price have obviously never looked at Florida Tacoma prices

    Tacomas (and all Toyota trucks) fatal flaw is rust and rot. In Florida with regular maintenance a truck should go for a very very long time.
