Good stuff here. They talk about all aspects of the stock truck but they mention needing new gearing. I find it interesting that is the only mod they talk about in this video. I feel for all you auto guys with 3.90 gearing.

    Thank for watching!

That is a great question. The rigs did everything we needed them to. My personal thought would be less gear BUT my job on the CenAm trip was logistics and navigation... not filming. My gear was a backpack full of maps, several different GPS suites, guidebooks, etc. The camera gear takes up a ton of room and has to remain quickly accessible for getting the footage. I'm a "pack it away" tide kind of guy so I had to get used to so much camera gear floating around all of the time :D

MT's would certainly have been nice in Costa Rica's mud and in Baja's sand along some of the off-road stuff that didn't get much airtime, but the AT's were great for the other 90% of the time. If I was going to spent more time in the wet season, MT's for sure. Knowing what we know now in regards to the new General X3, I'd run those in a heartbeat.

Watched the new season a couple days ago, loved seeing the 3rd gen out there. Very nice! Unfortunately I binge watched all of the episodes at once so now I have to patiently wait for the next season....

    Keep it up!
