Anyone had any experience with the Flowmaster 817519 cat-back system?
    Info HERE.

In particular I'm concerned about drone in the cabin, and that it might just be a bit on the loud side. I've come to appreciate peace and quiet in the cockpit in my maturity (old age?).

I have experience on another truck with the system that includes the 70 series muffler, which according to their specs is one step below the super 50 muffler in the system you are looking at. The 70 series sounded good, but wasn't aggressive at all. One step up shouldn't have too much drone.

The 40 series muffler I have now, which is their 3rd loudest muffler, has noticeable drone only at around 30MPH and below. Search Youtube for some videos where you can hear it.

I have this cat back. It is louder than factory but that's a given. Drone slightly. If you are light on the gas you can make the exhaust sound quite like stock.

Thanks. Drone noticeable at say 70 mph steady freeway driving with slight hills? Did you see any increase in gas mileage?

No increase in mpg. I'm getting 230 ish to a tank. There is drone but it's not unbearable. Unless you go with factory exhaust again I'm sure your will have drone in all aftermarket setups. If it's to loud you can weld in a resonator to quote it down.

I don't have this system but I went from a flowmaster 40 to a super 40 this past year. THe regular 40 had a terrible drone at highway speed for me. The super 40 is great with very little drone. I have a turn down behind the axle. I usually get around 260-270 miles per tank of gas.
