    ok. dont laugh.
i bought a tacoma in july, it was totalled in november. I bought it back. I love it and it works fine. its an 04 3.4l v6 automatic(idk if they even made a manual and if they did i cant find it) 4x4.
my goal. lift(not much) better tires. I have stock rims. But i also want to improve the engine if at all possible. Ive tried reading up articles and things and I think im just looking in all of the wrong places. Ill include photos. my truck is the black and white. ideas i like are the plain white trucks. Im particular, also cheap (unfortunately) im a full time firefighter and i can tell you i dont make much so please dont give me THE most expensive option you can think of. also. how can i fix my front bumper? I have an AP aftermarket bumper that looks good but it is so revealing and it makes the radiator and inner area look bad. my only idea is finding someone that can work with sheet metal or SOMETHING to mold a piece and weld it in. still not sure. I appreciate any ideas.
keep in mind. the hood is painted black, the plastic grill is back on so it doesnt look quite so incomplete. also i painted the plastic grill black.
*credit where credit is due. 01tacoma owns both of these pictures with the plain white tacomas. i contacted him about a rear bumper already and i just want to know. How i can order the plastic set in piece that says tacoma like the truck thats jacked up sideways?? ive looked everywhere.

About the only thing I figured out is that you want stashi grill. I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled. I think there are members here that make that stashi grill.

Good on you buying the truck back. All my trucks were wrecks when I got them.

it sucks so bad. i got rear ended by a semi in atlanta ga. didnt do too much damage but twisted the frame. had a buddy weld the bed back and it looks great but the front end is taking a little longer obviously.

You get some decent led lights on that bumper and the area won't look so skelotony.

These are some $125 that I put on just to take up space. I built the bumper and it just looked too open without the lights. They are bright. At least bright enough for me. The lighting choices are limitless. I warn you, if you go tovreaearch lights, you will just get more confused. I threw a dart at eBay and got these. Luckily they are high quality and bright. I don't know how long they will last. Only had them three months.

Satoshi is a mod that has to be done by you. Homertaco on here does first gens every now and again that you can buy. just search satoshi in the search bar. Easy, cheap-ish mods? Tundra brake swap, headlight retro fits (both around 500 or so). For the motor an ecoblock, oil catch can, supercharger (obviously the sc is NOT cheap). Led light bulbs inside and out. Everything i mentioned will bring up threads if you search them in tw.. Good luck

Homertaco makes amazing satoshi grills! But they are limited edition, check the vendor section for info on them. There are other manufacturers too, ie Grillcraft

I would spray paint all the white areas behind the front bumper black to give it a cleaner look. A winch and some led lights would also look up front, but not really cheap mods.

do you off-road? What type of use will the truck see mostly?
