So i have some rubbing on the truck after the install of my new stuff. I once saw a picture of what cab mount is and what it looked like chopped. I cant find it again.

What exactly is being cut out and is there any potential damage that can be done by doing this? if its cutting off a mount, what will hold it together or on or whatever.

i searched and didnt find where someone had an instructional thread. is there one here or somewhere else?

I dont own a welder. Maybe its the reason to finally buy one. If i paid someone to do this, what should i expect to hear as a fee? $50 each side if i do the cutting? $60 for both after i cut?

can you guys give some info on the welders you use and the materials to seal it up? Ive been thinking about taking a course at a local votech school or something to learn the basics of welding. Im clueless tho.

what brand welder and what model number?

what type of welder is it and is there setting to know about?

what is the material you used (like 1/4" steel plate or whatever)?
