Explain the deck plate mod please

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    It will make it a little louder, thats all. FWIW, When I removed mine to test it, I noticed the plastic Pipe cap I used to cover the hole would work itself loose over time. If it falls out, it will allow unfiltered air into the engine.

    hey guys, is it normal to have your check engine light turn on after do you this mod? mine did for a couple rides then turned off and now its gone....hopefully.

    the check engine light went away after 1 day of driving. I used the exact silicone mentioned...RTV, sensor safe. The light has not come on since. I guess it just needed to dry out a bit more.

    I took my box out and let it dry overnight and about half of the next day. I haven't had any issues with a CEL since I've done it, just better sound and gas mileage

    I searched and couldnt find what i wanted, so, for those that have this, do you put the plate in when you wash the truck, or in the heavy rain??

    Is there any difference in the noise level the truck makes? I'm reading a lot of talk about the sound of the truck. Not sure how this mod impacts that.

    TRD S/C 3" sky jacker suspension lift,33" kumho road venture mt kl71's 16" 320c pacer wheels,billet grill,EBC slotted and dimpled rotors,super 44 muffler with gutted cat,smoked l.e.d. tail lights, deck plate mod with K&N filter,fog/blinker mod,cobra cb with 4' firestick antenna/100W PA,clear corners with l.e.d bulbs,55w back up lights,urd O2 sim., blue l.e.d bulbs behind gauge cluster.
    yea it does change the sound of the truck. its gonna be louder inside the cab but it sounds great.
