    Amazing!!

Details about trail (location, specific path taken). I'm about 1hr out from El Dorado. Would love to take the same trail just me and my fiance. Details would be much appreciated. Also beautiful white DCLB !

So you take the pollock pines exit, head up sly park road past the lake, y9u will them get to mormon emigrant trail, you keep climbing up the mountain on mormon until you see a sign that has the trail information, you will take the road directly after the trail info board that stands about 5 feet tall, hard to miss. You can probably take the road right at the trail sign but I like the next road because there are lots of back trails that branch off the main paved trail. Hope this helps if you get lost just call me 5307487054

Looks like beautiful country, nice video. Looks like a pretty easy trail, did you need 4WD at all? Where does the trail end up?

Not in any of the spots in the video, some trails that branch off though yes you will need 4hi there are spots that have 3+ foot ruts and its all loose red dirt. If you stay on the main path you will eventually end up near holiday market. But the really fun stuff is off the main trail.

There are so many great trials in that area. El dorado natl forest is the best. Mormon emigrant trail is only good for wheeling when there is snow. Lots of great camp spots but not a lot of good “wheeling”. You have to go up further to get some good trails and more into the desolate parts where you won’t see cars every few minutes.

I won’t give away my “secret spots” on here, but I’d love to get something planned for the end of the year. Anyone off during the week? I’m off wed-fri. I’m down to go tear it up, camp and shoot.

There aren’t any secret spots anymore. Now, it’s about capability and competence. Google Earth, all gps apps and forums that share info have ruined/improved the ability to get to some amazing spaces. I get that people want to keep their spots “secret” to keep the amount of ruination to a minimum. But thinking that it’s a “secret” is being disengenuios to themselves.

The spots I go to aren’t direct off of MET. Up 50 a little further.

The main reason I quoted secret was because I know it’s not a secret. I was being sarcastic.

Yup, no such thing as a secret spot.

What do you think of this? You find a spot that's less traveled and by broadcasting it all the time on the internet it's not going to be less traveled for much longer.

Up until a couple years ago I'd rarely stay in the same spot twice. Since then I found a spot that I can combine with mountain biking. It's a nice spot and it's actually pretty well known. Edit: If you google that spot nothing comes up about camping there. A stock truck can get there and it's easy to navigate to. I've been there probably 8 or 10 times and I've never found anyone else there. Will I tell everyone where it is? Nope. However, I will pm it from time to time.
