I see the Extang gets great reviews but looks very similar to my OEM which leaks like a river? How is the Extang on repelling? Thanks. Bill

my OEM leaks severely as well. I have been lurking around the forum (and others) for weeks now trying to decide on which cover to move over too. there is a ton of tonneau threads on this forum. i searched different phrases like oem tonneau leaking, trifold tonneau reccomendations, and many others. Just from what i have read on here (not from experience) extang is a popular alternative, but it seems like mostly all of the individual trifolds (including the OEM) are generally split down the middle. half have little to no leaking issues, the other half leak just as bad as the OEM. I found 1 that had way more good than bad reviews. Leer X2T, but unfortuantley it has been discontinued. there might still be some out there. Leer will be coming out with a new trifold in coming weeks but no info on it available currently. and there was another, might be called lomax, that i like the design of but didnt have many reviews on. you can spend days on here reading tonneau reviews. the one piece hard tonneaus like Undercover seem to be the best at keeping the bed dry. no seems, the cover actually covers the bed rails. i had one previously on my 2006 and it never let a single drop of water in. they are inconvenient though if you need the whole bed. not terrible, just inconvenient. if you happen to have made any attempts to try and mitigate the leaking on your OEM, please post them in the thread i started earlier today. about all the things i tried to cut down on the leaking with my OEM. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-tonneau-leak-prevention-efforts.569931/

    None... sigh
My Extang leaks, not just from high pressure, from a normal rain shower. Not a fan at all in that aspect, but I like how it is rather solid and my stuff is somewhat secure in the bed with the tailgate locked.
