I have had mine for about 3 weeks. Today while washing the truck I noticed the same dents on mine. Looks to me like they are located where the foam blocks land when it is folded up.

    UPDATE:
They are sending me a new 2.0 to replace my defective one. I hope there are no problems with this new one.

So far I am happy with their customer service but I am not getting too excited just yet. Until I can know with confidence the next one wont just do the same thing I am on the fence with this cover.

Nice let me know if your new one has the dents or not. I am debating if I want to go through the trouble of trying to get a new one or not.

Long story short...the replacement did the same thing (barely tighten the clamps and dimples were visible) had it out of the box for less than an hour before packing it back up and sending it back to extang. Only reason I was holding off from updating is that extang says they will resolve the issue and are working on it. Not really sure what that means at this point but as soon as I hear from them I will update. For now I am using the original cover and other than this issue it does function good and serves its purpose. In the end I can only hope they redesign and maybe they replace the defective ones but until then I am stuck with this one. Now that they admit the flaw/defect does exist I imagine they will have to do something....wishful thinking lol

Just got a call back. I was told they redesigned the panel at the cab by lengthening the channel the clamp mounts to on the underside in order to distribute the pressure/pulling more evenly....makes sense but we will see. They have already started producing them this way and a replacement is already on its way to me. I really hope this resolves the issue and I can move on.

Yes. Sorry for the delay. I actually just dropped off the old style original cover to fedex today. Have had the new cover on for a few days but wanted to be sure it was corrected before reporting and sending the defective one back. The new cover is better in regards to the dimples. They simply lengthened the channels which I guess distributes the pulling pressure more evenly correcting the indents. I'm glad this whole ordeal is over with so now I can just enjoy my cover (Solid Fold 2.1 lol) and move on to other mods with out any buyers remorse. After 2 replacements and ALOT of patience I think Extang Finally got to right.

FYI if you plan on ordering one make sure they send the redesigned version. It truly is a great functioning cover and now that the problem is solved it looks awesome.

    Thanks!

Same result here, Got my cover in June had the dimple issue right away. Received a new panel in July. Installed it ok, making sure it was not over tightened and still had the same result. Also I have noticed bubbles in the cover after a day in 94 deg. heat/sun. The bubbles go down after the cover cools off over night. Purchased through RealTruck they have been handling the repair/warranty.

I think my "bubbles" are more like waves and they don't go away anymore. If I press on them it makes that sticky adhesive pulling away from something sound. I should probably call them and complain, but I don't want to deal with taking it off/sending it back only to have the next one do the same thing. I think it's a design flaw. In every other way this thing does exactly what I wanted it to do.

I live in FL and no waves in mine. They sent me a replacement panel for the dents that where in mine. They did not have me ship my old panel back. Best to call as they are horrible at responding to emails.
