Decided to make an account to reply to this great information. I currently have a 5' Trifecta that did not ship with the foam blocks. When I called up Extang asking for the bed header seal, the agent first claimed that no additional seals are included, and that they should all be attached to the cover itself. I then rephrased it as an adhesive foam block, gave the part number, and the agent knew exactly what I was talking about. He said it is a brand new part for this year and will be shipping it to me at no cost. Thanks @Drifter16!

For those interested, I picked up my Extang Trifecta off Amazon for $357 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016BXX61O. It fits pretty well, although I had to add a nylon spacer to the front clamps so that the knob would clear the rail when tightening (did not use the brackets included).

Sweet dude, glad to help! Guess I drew the lucky straw of getting the new included part haha! But yeah hopefully yall will be able to get it now, after what seems to be like a millennium of rain I have to say I am pretty pleased with the limited water that has got in through the tri-fold. Just have to figure out the open spot at the front of the bed below the top of the cover. Also hopefully putting on the tailgate seal today, will let yall know how that turns out!

Anyone have experience with the Fold a Cover G4? They are supposed to come out for the 2016 Tacoma in a month? I like the separate locking mechanism and the ability to open either the back or front independently.

Just got my solid fold 2.0 on New Years Eve and it came with the foam blocks. Fills the gaps well.

I just got my extang 2.0 earlier today and I got the foam squares also. Didn't get a chance to put the foam squares in yet but I did put the cover on just to see how it looks.

Is the Extang 2.0 slimmer than the Rugged Cover?

For the extang, can you open and close the tailgate without having to open or fiddle with the cover?

Is there a way to loosen the quick release handles on the solid fold 2.0? The tension is a little too much right now, pulling the cover too tight and letting water in right in line where the handles are on the sides.

    Thanks

I used the additional rail brackets that came with the cover. They raise the attachment point up about half an inch so the springs on the clamps don't have to be stretched too far, making it way easier to pull down and attach to the brackets. It makes it less tight, however, but still feels very solid.

The optional brackets aren't necessary on the front attachments near the cab. They only really allow a more direct, straight pull of the attachment bar. If you don't use them, they are angled pretty good, but I don't see how that would make it less strong. Hope that makes sense.

You can, yes, but I pull up gently, just a bit, on the tonneau before I lower the tailgate. This takes the pressure off the rubber seal. There is a three-fold rubber seal that angles in towards the bed. Lowering the tailgate with the tonneau cover closed tightly, makes the rubber seal pull in the opposite direction and, IMHO, will wear it out fast. Just my two cents.

$819 Looks like current 20% promo code can't be applied to Extang 2.0. :-(
    http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-covers/extang-solid-fold-2.0-tonneau-cover

    Q's:

    1) Can Extang 2.0 and others be closed while the bed extender is installed in the bed?

    2) Did you guys order these options as well?
    Optional Accessories
    • Extang MaxSeal Tailgate Seal $29.95
    • Extang Cargo Cleats $29.95
    • Extang Tonneau Cover Accessory Kit $99

Ordered on December 29th. Autoaccessoriesgarage.com was having 20% off sale, of course the solid fold 2.0 was excluded on the site. But it said to call and they may be able to do the discount over the phone. So I called and the person said that they couldn't do 20% but could do 15. I said I knew other people who were getting the full 20. She said she would have to talk to her supervisor and when she came back I had 20% off.
