Been looking at purchasing either the Extang Solid 2.0 or the Rugged Cover hard cover. Anyone, after installing a Extang Solid 2.0 Or Rugged Cover able to give a update on protection from water intrusion? I want something completely waterproof and have heard mix reviews.
Anyone have anymore input on the Rugged Cover, most people seem to be buying the Extang 2.0?

So frustrating seeing these great looking covers, and not having mine on yet.
SEVERAL dealers here in Canada refuse to install the Extang because they were not confident enough in them staying on solid enough…the fit was just not good enough they said. They had a dozen or so trucks ready to be installed, and they cancelled them all. I just don't understand. I need one fast.

My Extang leaks for sure! On the sides and opening near the cab only which can be sealed with parts from Extang or Toyota. With adjustment you can get them to seal up pretty good, but you have to realize that the manufacture is not claiming that they're water 100% water proof. As log as something is not against the side of the bed then it stays dry. IF you really want 100% water proof and a manufacture that claims that then you need the fiberglass cover or one that covers the bed rails completely.

I don't quite understand what you're saying here. Could you explain?
