Just came up with a money $$$ saving MOD for 1st gens (well possibly money saving)

If you know someone who has or is ready to get extended brake lines for a 2nd gen, tell your buddy You'll be happy to take the old ones off his hands... It appears that the OEM 2nd gens are about 4" or 5" longer than the stock 1st gens (single line) All thats required is a threaded brass male fitting to connect the line to the 3 way junction point on the axle, which I'll pick up tomorrow, everything is the same near as I can see...:D

Hi Brock & thanks... I should add that I'll check for sure today & see if a brass fitting is in order or if its another non corrosive alloy is needed , I don't even know how much one is for a 1st gen , I'd guess around $25- $30 ?? Someone chime in if ya know, you could probably pick one up for a couple $ if ya went to wrecking yard, plus the fitting, it's about $1.70 in plumbing at home depot... so for $5 you could have a OEM type Extended one...;)

Meh , I got a rep of going thru the trash (wrecking yard) looking for parts

so peeps are leary I guess, I've got 8 or 9 2nd gen. OEM rear brakelines , I could go get the couplers & make them up myself, slap a brand name on them & sell them all, hell if they had AllPro on them I'd be back ordered already !!...:D:D

I don't mean to sound ignorant here and I apologize for the necro bump. I saw this thread posted in the 1st gen mods thread. My question is what is the intent of this mod? Thanks.

If you do a suspension lift you have to extend the brake lines.
