Group Buy: Gen 2, Dbl Cab, Short Bed only
    Ends: March 25, 2018!!

Extended range fuel tanks, Australian company, Long Range Automotive: 129 litre/~34 gallon fuel tank: https://longrangeautomotive.com.au

Helps beat sticker shock on fuel with less fill ups. I'm in for the range and limited trips to ethanol free gas stations. These tanks are direct fit, replacements for the originals. All mounting hardware as well as installation instructions are included. https://longrangeautomotive.com.au/file/12729/536

Importer, Cruiser Brorhers, LLC, will handle the logistics of importing fuel tanks. Cost to Tacoma World members is: $1395.00/tank if referenced at checkout: Tacoma World - Jimbo623. Estimated arrival time from end of Group Buy - (March 25, 2018) is 8 weeks. Tanks are shipped via water freight, originating from Melbourne Australia and delivered to Stockton, CA. From there, shipping cost to your door, varies by location. Estimated shipping costs, according to Cruiser Brothers, ($200 - western states - $300 eastern states). Payments would be made through Cruiser Brothers:
    https://www.cruiserbrothers.com

The current "Product list" through Cruiser Brothers, does NOT show these tanks but, I have been informed they will shortly, as this product just became a part of their inventory.

    [IMG][IMG]
Mounting locations have limited these tanks to ONLY DCSB trucks, retrofitting to fit your truck can be done with some effort or so I've been informed. Post or PM me if interested, not just thinking.

Rated aux tanks for the truck bed regularly cost $1k+.

I wish it would fit my truck.

What's with the cable hanging under the carrier bearing in the second picture?

Cable is part of an emergency braking system common in Australia. Hangs down to snag tree stumps, brush, vines and rocks to help with off road braking.

To hang your grease gun and/or light while you service the u-joints and do other misc. work underneath?

I'm sure the price is right in line with other offerings and I really WANT one but that's a tough pill to swallow. The shipping hurts too. :(
I'd kill for one of these though. Would be nice not to have to worry about securing jerry cans.

Pretty neat, but $1700 buys a lot of gas

How is the tank constructed? It appears to be made from steel. Is this a double wall system? Is it more resilient than the stock tank?

its made from steel, not double walled, but internally braced with baffles.

also, as a person with this tank the price isnt bad. And you may not have to fill up as much, but you will get a sticker shock when you fill up lol. i think my last fill up was 85 bucks

The weight of the gas alone is an extra 80 lbs. Figure the added weight of the bigger tank and you're reducing payload by at least 100 lbs in a truck that is already limited. I can go 350 miles hwy with the factory tank. I like the idea of a bigger tank, my F-150 is 36 gal. But the negatives outweigh the positives. on a Tacoma for me.

Lol, really? What's wrong with jerry cans?

I wouldn't want my tank stick out under the frame rails and add even more weight to only the driver side...

Also this will be illegal for road use in California in case you didn't know

just had the truck smogged and it passed all their stuff. it reuses all factory ports. He just said as long as it uses factory parts it passes any smog test.

Lucky! That could have gone the other way. Plenty of LT guys running fuel cells can't pass smog so I'm very surprised to hear that you did because this is nothing else than a fuel cell... just under the bed and KINDA in factory location

Edit: also why do you have to smog a 2014 truck??
