look into the fine print dude.
dealers don't need to fix warranty problems with new parts. they can use used parts.

Who offered you those warranty options? The dealer? Or a third party? That is the part I am not following.

lol until Toyota slaps him/dealership for people throwing numbers/names openly on forums.

how do you people think jerry got smacked off the all the Toyota forums back in February by corporate.

discuss numbers all day, but keep names in PM please.

Can you get these genuine toyota financial warranty's without using dealer financing? Or using deal financing for the bonus cash and then paying off immediately?

Extended warranties are CRAP... If you fall for that, you are just giving the dealer a fully paid membership at his favorite golf course.

If you think the Taco is gonna give U trouble in less than 5 years... don't buy it..!! My 2006 was as good as the day I bought it, when I trader her in last week... NO WARRANTY ever needed.... OR ... asked for... \

    Best truck I ever owned...

Dealer wanted $3240 for 6 year 75k bumper to bumper extended warranty I declined; dealer came back with 7 year 100k @ $1400 and I declined that as well. After having a very reliable Rav 4 without an extended warranty we opted against for the Tacoma.

Yep! If they give you any shit then refer them to Toyota of Dallas (TRDparts4U) where they sell icon, OME, Front Runner, and everything else you can imagine in house at their parts dept.

Have you guys heard of the Bathtub curve? It's a key concept of reliability engineering.

Basically there are early failures from manufacturing defects, then a period of low failure rate, then late failures from wear.

Extended warranties are firmly in the low failure rate zone of 36,000 to 125,000 miles. That, and people failing to actually invoke the warranty, is what makes them so lucrative for the dealers.
