...^^^... This ... and don't be tricked by "regional distributor warranties" or "dealer warranties" or "3rd party warranties" ...
ONLY go for Toyota NA, OEM Warranty (many are using the Platinum name to confuse buyers now).

I was tricked once ... thought I was buying a "Toyota OEM Factory Platinum Warranty" and signed the papers ... got home and read fine print and it was a "SET aka SouthEast Toyota Warranty" and dealer said that was ALL they could sell now. I got my money back and left.

Under FOIA, you can go to various agencies and find "payout results" from the different warranty policies.

IIRC, Toyota NA OEM Platinum Warranty" has highest payout ratios (which is good for you, the customer).

SET and GST will only sell that regional ext. warranties since those regions will not allow dealers to sell anything else. since they are outside Toyota rules they can do whatever they want. if you want a oem Toyota ext. warranty you will have to go outside SET/GST regions to get one. and SET/GST ext. warranties will not be honored outside of those regions if I remember correctly.

that's why I see a lot of forum members from those regions will go outside those regions to buy a Toyota.
