    Yes. Correct.

    For a more layman definition....

    Vehicle #1 Warranty Cost $800.00.

Now... Minus 10 months of payments, lets call it $666.67 for easy math. ($800.00/60 Months of payments is $13.33 per payment)

So vehicle two would have left me with $666.67 for "Warranty Money" they sold me a new warranty for vehicle two for that $666.67, so I will no longer be getting a check. They, the dealership selling me my 2nd truck, paid the balance of my warranty to my financing company of the 1st truck. That Financial agency then owed me $666.67, but instead... they call Toyota, the financial institution, and the 1st dealership and bing bang boom... Now I have a whole new warranty. That cost me $133.33...

Just for reference I placed my deposit on a 2020 TRD Pro this week and was able to get a 10 year 100K bumper to bumper through Toyota for $2000. They asked $2750, I said $2000 and they agreed.
For WI, and all the issues salt and humidity here can cause with electricals that was low enough for me to consider it a deal.

If corrosion is the reason for failure it is excluded from the warranty. Read your policy!

You mean luckily for the dealer or whoever sold you the warranty, you've never had to use it. This is exactly why they push them so hard: because they are a money maker. The average person does not have more repairs done than the cost of the warranty.

It can pay for itself, but isn't that why we bought a Toyota and not a GM?

Back in the day, you could shop the TFS extended Platinum warranties. There was a guy named Troy Detrich out of Greenfield Mass Toyota who gave killer deals over the phone as long as you were a. Original owner and 2. Within the 3/36 factory warranty. There was another dealership in the Midwest too name I forgot. I did buy from Troy on my 2006 truck (he'd sell any Toyota model). It was around $825 for 100k 7 yrs something like that. Cheap! And it was legit. He was a vendor here.
Then Toyota got wise and put a stop to it. Now you can only shop within your State of Registry for Toyota warranties. Troy now sells 3rd party warranties for many, many brands.
When I traded that 06 for a Tundra I got a pro-rated rebate. On my 13, I opted no warranty fwiw.

Too late for me I’m thinking? 40k on a 2015. I have Subaru’s 100k 5y on my daily wrx, but didn’t consider it on the Tacoma.

Well maybe it's changed. I remember it was a big deal here when Toyota TFS stopped the practice because dealers put up a big stink being out priced. If it went to being ok to buy from other dealers that's great.
I know with my 2013 I no longer could do it with Troy he being in Massachusetts and my vehicle registered in VT. I opted for no extra warranty & have never needed it anyway.

I'm in Florida too and bought a genuine Platinum, 8/75, 0 deductible from Jennifer at Wolverine back in April or May. But I do remember a couple years ago when Toyota wouldn't allow out of state sales. Not sure when or why that changed.

The Toyota Extended Warranty usually has a Zero Deductible and includes a loaner vehicle.

What's the Toyota one cost? I've read where claims are denied if you go up one size in tire. So many extended warranties are scams. I'd really read the fine print before assuming everything was covered. Extended warranty companies make tons of profit.
