Extended Warranty Information

Hi, I have 2023 TRD off road, I am starting looking at purchasing an extended warranty, not sure which one would be best to purchase, and I currently have 20,000 miles on it. Where could the best bang for the buck. I tried contacting a guy at Midwest Toyota that I saw on Tacoma World, but have heard nothing back. Any assistance would be great. thank you in advance.

No doubts about it. You’ve got until 35th month or 36K. Any sooner doesn’t change any coverage.

 

I have a 2023 TRD Sport DCSB and got the Toyota extended warranty when I bought it. Wanted Toyota support (not aftermarket) and price seemed reasonable.

I have the Toyota Extra Care Platinum + Powertrain with $0 deductible. Covered for 7 years/100,000 miles. Cost was $1,525. I might have been able to get it a bit cheaper from another dealer, but price didn't seem crazy (and I didn't have the benefit of info from TacomaWorld at the time!).

 

+1 for this comment. Local dealership offered 6 years 60,000 miles at 2950.00. Jerry Johnson got me 10 years 100,000 miles no deductible for 1295.00.

Another vote for Jerry, excellent experience working with him.

 

Now I'm wondering if I should see if mine can be extended from 100K miles to 125K miles for an extra couple hundred dollars. Extra 25K mileage coverage would last me about an extra year.

 

I agree with the others about going with Jerry.
Do not go with an after market warranty. I have heard nothing good about them.

 

Jerry can get busy, I sent him an email without reply, I called him, left a voicemail and heard back from him the next day. Highly recommend going with Jerry.

 

I tried emailing and calling him at 33k miles, now I'm at 37.2k miles, what options do I have?

Hopefully your dealer will understand but he could tell you to pound sand.. keep trying to get hold of Jerry

 

Hopefully you have been able to get ahold of Jerry by this time. He was extremely quick when I dealt with him last year.
Only thing I would suggest is calling the Midwest super store directly and ask if he's still there.

 

Yes he’s still there. I just bought a 10yr/100k mile/$0 deductible Toyota Platinum extended warranty from Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota yesterday over the phone for $1360. I emailed him in the morning and he called me in the evening to go over the specifics. Very easy person to deal with and 100% up front on everything. Highly recommended.
My truck is a 2023 TRD Sport 6MT with 14000 miles currently.
just an FYI, if you pay with credit card there is a 3% fee… debit/cash is 0 fee and no sales tax if you don’t live in Kansas.
