I was offered $1500 for 8yr/100K, ($50 deductible?). Probably not too horrible but I still declined.

not too bad, I've seen a few here that got it for about 1k. I'm going to
start looking around next year for a deal on one before the 2yr factory
    runs out.

Yeah I had seen the lower prices, and figured I'd shop around. I don't like buying things like warranties under pressure and in the heat of the moment. I don't usually even buy extended warranties anyway, but considering it just because there's so many electronics on this thing.

That is a big reason for me too, think I read there are 7 or 9 computers and
each would cost thousands to repair. Not sure on the validity of the cost just
what I read here. I plan on keeping it a long time so I think it'll be worth it.

I got 100,000 with $0 deductible for under $1300. 7or 8 years, I can't remember. Toyota warranty. I thought it was reasonable considering its a new model.

I was able to get the Toyota platinum 125,000 8yr for roughly $1500 from a diff dealer. Which was much better than the 100,000 7yr for roughly $2500 my dealer offered.

I'd take that one. Dealer contact info? I assume we can get it from
    anywhere, yes?

Which dealer? I paid $1775 for 100,000/7 year, might get a refund and buy one cheaper.

look in on the 2nd gen forums and t4r.org forums for ext warranty pricing. since they are both in the T3 matrix for VSA pricing you can look around for cheaper prices.

T2 pricing is usually the camry types and T1 is like the old scion Xa and smaller.

Yes, Mine is also the Toyota Platinum 7year/100,000 mile warranty. It was $1283, and I think they charged tax.

Toyota of Knoxville offers a lifetime warranty. The trick with these is that they are a "Dealership Warranty" not a "Toyota Warranty" you have to buy the car from that dealership and the warranty is only good at that dealership.

Any Toyota Dealer can sell you the warranty. Cant say for sure if other sellers can offer you a genuine Toyota. I shopped around and found the 7/100K for $1025. I know you cant buy online anymore for genuine Toyota, but you might be able to go in person out of state.

Thanks for the info. In the past, most states allowed you to buy this "insurance" on line and some didn't. In SE, SET likes to sell their own warranty and not the "real" OEM-Toyota Warranty.

Just got a new 2016 today and I would not buy the extended warranty from the dealer because it was too expensive and dealer only sold a "SET Warranty" and not "OEM-Toyota Warranty".

There used to be 2 or 3 guys on here that sold "OEM-Toyota" warranties to almost any state that was allowed by state law.
