I actually agree with you there. I run hot all the time. My wife think you could harness the heat I produce and solve world energy problems. I wear shorts though most of the "winter" here. I can't get any more undressed in the summer without being arrested...

I LOVE the snow, just that shoveling it everyday gets old pretty fast.

If you're talking about the cost of living, not really. Cost of living is higher here, yes, but my wages are higher, too.

Bought my house soon after the market crashed. It's now worth twice what I owe on it.

I also don't live in the hell holes that are LA or SF.

I only shovel the very short distance from my front door to the garage. I don't bother with the driveway, wife and I both have 4-wheel drive.

Actually I am really glad, realllllllly glad all those millions of people like California. If they didn't, lots of them would be here. We like our half million population for the entire state just the way it is. :p

I have some family in ID, and they were talking about some rich folks buying up a ton of property up there because that's where the rich white people of Hollywood can go to not be bothered by the peasants. So... They're coming...

Cali is definitely overcrowded in a lot of places, I tend to stay away from those places.

I just grab mine at local junkyard or if not available, I hop on eBay and get one from a wrecking yard. Had great luck with both, since my originals broke.

Ugh, today I was getting a alignment after changing all my ball joints, and the tech done completely shattered my door handle. The door was already cracked, and I explained/showed to the guy the trick to opening it, but he let another tech take over and that guy just yanked the thing to hard and busted the thing into pieces.

Welp, now I'm buying a new handle oem handle on ebay haha (Paid 78 bucks). Man, never a good time having other folks work on your car.

I try junk yards for door handles occasionally, but often times they are already cracking or are cheap aftermarket ones that are about to go as well (and not worth buying used at the junk yard). Usually because in my area there are so few tacos and the ones there are have been sitting there for years.

I paid about that much for an OEM one a few years back, it lasted three months! After that I cleaned the latch mechanism good, put a seven dollar Amazon one on, and it has held up fine ever since. Yes the aftermarket ones are less beefy, but they are a lot cheaper. If you don't clean the latch mechanism the OEM ones will still break, and if you do clean it, the cheep aftermarket ones will last just fine.

My first post...so please forgive any ignorance in etiquette or formatting. Do you still have these OEM exterior handles? If so, how are you selling them, assuming you are?

Thanks for the welcome.. I saw the timing was pretty old and know it's a long shot. I found the forum while searching if there was a significant quality difference between OEM and aftermarket, which there seems to be full agreement on here. My driver side went this morning, and considering the current situation I'd rather be smart with whatever cash I do part with.

Haha that was almost two years ago. I sold all the sets already. I think I have one more passenger door handle.
