    It's 2016 and it's a 3rd gen, you would think with the growing prevalence of LED's replacing incandescent bulbs the new Tacoma would follow suit, it doesn't but I did.

    I have replaced all exterior lighting with the exceptions of low, high beams and fog light bulbs but this is still a work in progress.

    Front turn signal bulbs: Inertia WY21W Amber they look and work perfectly!

    Front side marker bulbs: Vleds HVA 360* LED 194 (W5W) bulbs.

    Rear Running/Brake/Turn bulbs: Philips 7443LED VisionLED Red

    Reverse/Backup bulbs: Philips 921LED Vision LED 6000k (W16W)

    CHMSL (3rd Brake Light) bulbs: Vleds RED 360* 6 LED 194 (186)

    License Plate bulbs: Philips 194LED Vision LED 4000k (W5W)

    Resistors (to eliminate turn signal hyperflash): Vleds VLR6 Turn Signal Resistors
    These resistors are the best you can get IMO, very well made and robust!

    I did change the fog light bulbs to amber incandescent because for me amber is the best color for driving in fog with no glare or back-scatter. I am still deciding on what to choose for interior lighting although I intend to add glove box, foot well and center armrest/console LED lighting. Again, this is a work in progress but my research led me to choose the above mentioned LED bulbs, not saying they won't change in the future but for now they work as I intended. Now I just need to install me LED bed lights...

    So your blinkers are blinking at the normal rate?

    Yes they are. I installed the Inertia front turn signals first and had no issues. Hyperflash only started when I installed the rear Philips LED turn signals so I ordered the Vleds VLR6 resistors which corrected the hyperflashing. Of the two 7443 bulbs in each tail light housing only the upper bulb is the turn signal.

    Hey, any chance you can post a couple photos comparing:

    1) the red color of the philips LED tails/brake lights and the VLEDs 194s in the 3rd brake light?

    2) the amber color of the Inertia WY21W Amber turnsignal, VLEDs HVA 360 deg 194 in the front side marker, and the mirror-mounted turn signal?

    @SoFlaTacoTRD

    Did you have to get 4 resistors for each turn signal on the truck?

    Older thread. I'll answer from experience. Yes, they need a proper load for each filament that flashes because the typical emitter only needs about 3.6 volts to flash or activate. The resistor is dissipating the excess voltage that causes the hyperflash.
