    Hey Fellas,

So I was getting in to my truck the other day and i noticed a wire hanging down that I had never seen before below the steering wheel (like right above where your feet go). I pop my head under there and I notice a zip tie had been cut and there were these extra wires just hanging there (the zip tie was still kind of attached to the wires still). Anyway, does anyone know what these wires are too? Was something stolen out of my car? I don't know much about wiring so looking for some help here. See pic attached, the red and green are just hanging there and not sure what everything else is under there. Car seems to be running fine by the way. I am hoping these are extra wires in case I wanted to install some extra add ons to go with the unused buttons on the side. wires.jpg

Local dealers tend to install a system which allows remote unlock with a code (versus the old-school method of a key lockbox hanging on the window). After purchase I removed mine and reverted everything to stock. Perhaps that's part of it. The other possibility is the factory alarm system - our trucks didn't come with alarms, only remote keyless entry, and when I installed the factory alarm on mine it was nearly plug-and-play and had nearly a zillion different plugs to integrate with existing truck wiring.

That's the factory theft deterrent. (it's supposed to confuse someone trying to hot wire the truck)
