Looks like they took a piece of shit Colorado and went crazy with a jc whitney no limit credit account. They will list it for 10-20k over retail of a regular Colorado and some idiot will pay that much.

It doesnt look too bad, a little overkill though. It is quite a departure from the previous "xtreme" s10's from the 90's, which were lowered, usually with stepsides, and 2wd. I always hated the look. This is actually an improvement.

Yep it was an appearance packaged. This version is a shot at the Tacomas. They aren't as capable out of the factory and I'd be willing to bet this model would barely keep up with at least a 2nd gen. Not sure about the 3rd gen gen but prolly those too.

How on earth would a 2nd gen not be able to "keep up?" with a 3rd gen?

I mean that extreme keeping up with either the 2nd or 3rd gen. Personally I'm not familiar behind the wheel with the new model, so I don't want to talk about what I'm not familiar with behind the wheel, just going on reputation there if ya get what I'm saying.

So you are familiar behind the wheel of a current Colorado, and this "Extreme" as well?

Obviously not familiar with this Extreme, my buddies Colorado was in the shop like crazy, no thanks. Past model actually wasn't bad.

All I was really saying, I don't think this Extreme would keep up with a Tacoma (2nd or 3rd gen). Just not familiar with the new model Tacoma is all.

That would have been sweet! I love driving a little pickup with a powerful V8! Aka the Carrol Shelby Dodge Dakota, and a V8 swapped S-10 back in the day.
