Got my shipping notification for my (2) RTIC coolers, I got a 20 and a 65. UPS says they are being delivered on Tuesday! It's only been 5+ months! I'll take some pics when I get them.

Can I ask when you actually paid for them? As in, did they take the money 5 months ago, of did you get charged just now at time of shipment? I'm still curious about how that works. I don't need another cooler but having 2 yetis, I'd like to do a side by side.

I actually paid for the coolers back in early August and was told they would be delivered late September. They kept pushing the delivery date out. Every 30 days they would ouch it another 30 days. I was told that the tan coolers were taking longer to get but regardless, they promised me these coolers in September. I called them several times, each time they told me they would gladly refund me my money.

As a new business they aren't treating customers that well. They never notified me of my delivery date being moved out, the only way i found out was when I called to check on my delivery status.

Fingers crossed it was worth the wait.

That's what I was worried about. I'd gladly give them my cc# but I would not be cool with them taking my money now for the May delivery they're anticipating for current orders, especially while they're in litigation with Yeti.

I'm very impressed with my Rtic. I got the 45 Tan. Paid for it on Aug 9 and it arrived around Thanksgiving. I filled it up with ice Christmas day because we had 19 folks staying at our house for 3 days. The ice was used to fill drinks, so the cooler was opened and closed A LOT. I still had about a gallon of ice in it after 4 days. Works for me and it's built like a tank. No way a Yeti is worth double the money.

HaHa...yeah, there is that. I didn't need a cooler to be a redneck status symbol. I just needed a good cooler. I'm certainly not paying double for a name only.

So after I saw that cooler at HEB I decided to browse the webs for other extreme coolers. Needless to say my browser tabs are tiny.

I have a 35 quart pelican cooler. It's built like a tank. There is no doubt you could roll and total the truck, but still have an intact cooler strapped in the bed. I like the latches because they are bear proof. I cable lock my cooler to a tree ~100 yards from camp and don't worry about it.

It's sized for serving trays to sit inside, which is great for organization and keeping small food items out of your ice.

Holds ice very well; multi-day trips on the same bag of ice are no problem.

Only complaint is that for it's exterior size, you aren't getting that much interior room. It's also pretty heavy.

Pelican has some aggressive price points. But they seem a little tall for the size. I've heard the 50 qt+ sizes might not fit with bed mat & tonneau installed.

My 75qt Yeti is exactly as described above. Bear proof, internal trays, non skid feet, etc.

It sits about an inch over the tailgate. No bedmat.

Well...I couldn't resist. HEB had a 20% coupon for all of their Kodi Coolers. I headed over to my local store to look one over and walked out with a 125...

    for $343.80!

Dang - glad I went with the 65 then. It fits fine under the tonneau with the mat.
