No, I have 2wd SR5. Didn't realize there was a big difference in the brakes. I could list lots of issues, but brakes aren't one of 'em thankfully.

Traded in the last one, going to start modifying this soon.
I feel the brake pedal pulsing too. It's the hydro booster. I think of it as a way for the truck to tell me it still loves me. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy every time I use the brake.

Locked front and rear, bumpers, sliders, cage etc..33" Cooper STT PRO's. Mild suspension lift.
Has anyone actually had a dealer correct this?? So many say it's normal but I disagree, maybe normal for their crappy calibration but certainly not normal compared to ANYTHING else in the industry.
This is an issue, just wanting to find someone that has actually had one fixed.

    Thanks

Anyone have their headlights and cabin heater blower dim/reduce power when they hit the brakes?

I had the dealer test the battery and told him the symptoms but the test came back good. I have read similar stories on the 4Runner forums and it apparently relates possibly to the brake booster.

Yes, my headlights will sometimes dim while applying the brakes.

I seen this issue mentioned many times, but can't recall any dedicated threads. The standard reply from Toyota is that this is normal. I have this downshift "clunk" in my '16 OR as well. I also have the non-linear break modulation that the OP and others have mentioned. It takes some getting used to. I have to slightly ease off the break pedal as I come to a stop to keep the deceleration smooth. If you keep your foot in one place, the booster kicks in (I think that's what's happening) and the stop is uneven and jerky right at the end. Not smooth at all.

I have the same issue as you mention at the end of your post. Happens frequently but is inconsistent.
