I had a problem with my toyota dealer they said no go with the TSB. they said my warranty would not cover it because there is not a failure and nothing is defective but there mechabic was able to make the truck bottom out sorry. So the I said TSB and they would not cover th 2800.00 dollars wort of work then they said heres a gift you pay half. Then I pointed out to them that they can't read that there own TSB says the 2800 is for non trd trucks and I have TRD so give me the leaf springs the manager became very embarrassed now I am getting it done for free tomorrow hahahahahahaha and I am over the millage by 10,000 miles

I LOVE WINNING !!! :Dand now I am ordering the billy 5100's and aal

    SWEET

UPDATE... i just sent this email after i matched my part #'s
I own a 2009 Toyota Tacoma and I am aware that the tsb is not for the 2009 but i just checked my part #'s (something your department said that they did) yall said my part #'s dont match. The funny thing is is that your team didnt wipe away the dust on the parts to get the # also The numbers do match. My part numbers are
    Right leafspring-48210-04550
    Left leafspring- 48220-04190
    Front shock asorbers- 48510-09L80
    Rear shock asorbers- 48530-09B50

I would like to make an apointment for yall to prove this so i know you are not lying to me anymore.

    -Thank You
    Cameron

That's funny...they told you they checked and yet the dust wasn't wiped away?

Dealer just DON'T want to do the TSB!

In the south, do you really use "yall" when typing/writing? In Pittsburgh, we say "yinz" like "yinz going to the game tonight". But I never see it in an email or letter.
It's funny that the word is so widely accepted down there.

so is this a problem with all or just some 2nd gens? would they still do mine even if ive had a 6 inch lift?(cant see why it would matter but thought id ask) it cant hurt to get new stuff under there if theyll do it i guess...

Go to them and talk about having a harsh ride/bottoming out. The TSB doesn't formally apply to the 09's- the part numbers do match tho...so you have a chance that the dealer might do it. And make sure to call the corporate number to lodge the complaint about the suspension- as that is what will get the TSB updated.

All of them...Doubt that they'll do it with a 6 inch lift...They will blame it on your suspension mods (I'm guessing you have a block or something back there to get to 6 inches??) PLus if you are happy with how your truck is performing right now- I wouldn't mess with it as you might end up with the rear end even higher or something funny happening with the dealer messing around under your truck...

So you are 15, you bring in a dirty ie covered in 1in of mud truck, you rant and rave about something you seem to know nothing about because you are too lazy to do the research on your own and you don't even qualify for it and you expect a professional adult in a business to bend over backwards to help you..if I was the service writer I'd have told you to bring in the adult who is on the papers.
And on top of all of that it seems you hadn't even loaded up the truck or experienced a legitmate problem before you started bitching, so you wouldn't have even thought to take it in a complain because you didn't have a complaint, you just read about it on here.

You have a lot to learn youngin'.
If you are going to make a complaint, in person or in writing, take the time and effort to do it professionally and you might actually get the response you want. I'm too lazy is not acceptable in the real world.
If you expect someone to work on your truck then at least have the decency to take it in clean, its not funny. How would you like to be the tech that has to put your muddy truck into his clean stall and put it on a lift, walk around under it checking things he can't see because they are covered in mud and the mud falls in his face. Have a little respect.

so im lazy becaouse i didnt do reserch? i did to the research and loaded up the truck and experienced this problem so i took it to the dearler. i called him and told him that it was coverd in mud and he said it was fine. so i brought it by...they washed it and said that they looked at it but really they didnt. and i neeed the tsb to get done because we got a truck for me so i can haul stuff/move out of our old houuse. i want my truck to be able to do what its advertised to do...not bottom out with a 600lb load and have to drive 200+mi with it like that . it is a saftey issue for me so next time how about you know all the facts before you start.
