I want to get some eyelids on my Taco but am worried about state inspections.
Does anyone in Texas have eyelids or know of any laws preventing such a thing. Have you had a difficult time getting the state inspection done with eyelids?

I'm not coming from experience here, but unless theres a law written specifically for eyelids, I'd be really surprised. It doesn't affect light output really, and if anything it reduces glare.

Don't call them eyelids, call them 'Glare Reducers' when you go thru inspection :p

I know in NJ, anything that obstructs the headlights in any way whatsoever will not make it through inspection. Of course, that may be different from state to state.

Neither, you should go with fiber glass from eBay. Then get them painted.

Your best bet for "Are these legal in my state" is to get on google and look for the state statues...That way you can have the statue number or title when someone questions you about it.

As far as plastic versus vinyl...Not sure man- color matching might be easier with vinyl...but harder to reposition or what not....::shrug::

    Good luck.
