Wouldn’t do it, it’s basically just a preventative thing for mud and road funk to prevente it from getting on the side of your truck. They don’t look good at all IMO just go with some bushwackers promise you’ll be happy and you won’t regret it

    Thanks Skunkman !
I dig your Taco ! I want to do the same thing with the black accents and get rid of the chrome
Did you scuff up the original chrome grill, or did you do the two wheel drive grill and paint ?

I guess if you're going for the garden border material Aussie look... Basically the same thing.

    Makes you look hardcore.

IF you can find the toyota ones at a junk yard or something, I'd go that route, but they're hard to find. Bushwackers are probably the way to go.

They look terrible, don't do it. Tried it once last year and ripped them off after a couple days and put my beat up OEM ones back on

And it literally is just lawn edging material that gardeners use, marked way up in price pretending to be something unique. The way it adheres to our trucks makes them stick out in a really awful looking way, too.

I agree with either grabbing some used OEM ones or getting some Bushwhackers, those are really the only two options anymore. Or just go fender flare-less and plug the holes with something.

I scuffed you my original grille and did a bedliner paint job on it. Used 220 grit all around and also changed out my corner lights so they weren’t as tinted. Here’s how it looks now.

Also, the part of my hood and that is done, was done by the previous owner and I believe that it’s a bed-liner paint job also. Imo I like it but it’s starting to come off a little bit.
