I'll chime in as I work for Honda. I personally hate them, very annoying to me. I'd rather have the Ford style that has the small blind spot mirror in the corner of the side mirrors. But this is my opinion.

It's at least going to get to the point of a sample from the company. I'm talking to them now about pricing and quantity.

If they're just a stick on replacement glass then heating is not an option. I'm assuming you're wanting to retrofit heated mirrors, right? Do any of the tacos come with heated mirrors? I know the Sienna uses the same shape glass, and they're heated.

Any word on this? I'm still interested if they're going to be in the $30-50 range

It's a slow process, but it's in the works. Have to get a set of samples made and tested before ordering a batch.

I'm in for stick on glass or glass replacement. I'm coming from a VW Golf that I swapped in Euro aspherical mirrors on and I miss them. My wife's CR-V only has one on the drivers side and the passenger side is the standard convex. I wish I could get the aspherical for the other side of hers also.

Check this out! I tried to leave the camera in the same position for both shots. I'd say they work! Please forgive my fingerprints on the glass, I just put them in.

I popped out the old mirror, took the stock glass out of the holder, and slipped the new glass and adhesive pad into place. It's as easy as that.

    2015-05-21 19.12.14.jpg 2015-05-21 19.11.29.jpg 2015-05-21 19.11.37.jpg

I will more than likely adjust the mirrors on the drive to work tomorrow, but that's pretty damn sweet for just adjusting them in the parking lot.

There are two things that concern me. One, both sides have the "objects in mirror may appear closer" deal. I'm thinking I'll take that off of both of them. Thoughts? Secondly, I assumed these would have the slit in the glass between the aspherical side and the flat side. Well, as you can see they don't. I'm going to have to drive with them for a couple of days to see if I like them like this.

    Sweet!

Nothing wrong with the "objects closer" message as far as I'm concerned - it is most definitely a true statement for these mirrors.

Personally I prefer them not having the slit and instead smoothly transitioning into convex portion.

Looking forward to hearing about your driving experiences, but I really like what I see from your photos.

The drive in to work proved these mirrors do what they're supposed too. I could watch every car come past me without losing sight of them. (Without looking over my shoulder)

Well, after a day with them I'm not convinced the passenger side should be aspherical. Like I said before, I had these on my old VW golf, and didn't run into the issue I did today. I'm not able to see my passenger rear tire with the mirror in it's "normal" position. That's a no go for me, as backing into parking spots is hindered when you can't see the tire. The driver side mirror, where the real blind spot is, works perfectly for the purpose.

I have contacted my manufacturer to see if they can adjust the passenger side mirror so the tire is visible, so we'll see what they come up with. If not, the package will be an aspherical driver side mirror and a standard convex passenger side mirror.

I also have the option to add a heating film to the glass. That would give you the option to add heated mirrors to your taco. At this point the switch, wiring, and other miscellaneous parts for making the heat functional will be on the end user. In the future I see putting together a kit together with the parts needed to have an OEM appearance heated mirror. Having the heating film on the mirror will not affect it's functionality if you choose to not hook up power to it.

Even with the heating film we're still looking at a $35-$50 price point for the set.

I'm still interested either way, but I'd prefer to not have the "objects in mirror.." stuff on there if possible . It looks cleaner without. Maybe they can make the letters wash off with acetone or something.
