The price sounds good. For my last car (VW Golf), I spent $60 on the heated aspherical mirrors and they were knockoffs of the OEM VW $170 ones. (They only offered heated since all the cars had heated standard.)

I'm in for the non-heated on the Tacoma. Now please separate me from my money!!

Sign me up for non heated glass only. I have them on both sides on my Vw golf. Objects appear a little bit smaller in the passenger side mirror. Both sides have a blue tint to help reduce glare at night. I love em, and miss them in my taco.

I've had these mirrors on my 2009 Taco since it was new. How? There used to be a company called Multivex that made them for a lot of vehicles.

They're fastened using some double sided foam tape (6pcs ~1"sq IIRC). 6 years so far and they're still on solid.

I still have a blind spot (left side) - something small like a motorcycle can disappear if they're in the exact right spot. Cars & trucks are either in the mirror or I can see their fender in my peripheral vision.

They take a little getting used to and you have to always keep in mind the "closer than they appear" mantra. If your mind can't get it, then these aren't for you. Oh, and comparisons to those little stick on convex mirrors are apples and oranges. They're not even close.

Would I buy them again? Any time I think of getting a new truck I realize I wouldn't be able to get decent mirrors and then decide I keep my truck for another few years. I drive daily in heavy traffic and these mirrors make it easy. superman mirrors

And those of you trolling please take it elsewhere. Life is too short to wait for you to grow up.

Thank you for posting that! I looked up the company, and sure enough they went out of business in late 2011. And it seems there is a demand for them still. Time to get busy and fill that void in the market.

PM me when you get a chance.

True, but they lost their manufacturer. I have no intentions of gouging you guys, the price stays the same.

I always adjust my mirrors as follows. I scoot to the right far as possible, then I adjust my mirrors (think when I had power mirrors) where mirrors only side the passnger door edge. Then on the driver side...I scoot left as possible and adjust mirrors so that the mirror only see the edge of the driver side body. This way, when I'm normal, I see my blindspots.... never though the curved mirrors were needed. Having said that...heated mirrors seems nice and if a mirror gives you more saftey...for $50..why not.

    I have 2013 4runner mirrors though....will your mirrors fit?

I don't know if the 4runner and taco glass are the same. If anyone can chime in here I'd appreciate it.

Dang. Lucario Runner was over for two weeks, and never did that question come up. That would have been easy to get a quick reference. Just need a picture of a T4R's to be able to tell though .

The Multivex initially seemed expensive. If my Taco was totaled tomorrow and I bought a new one I'd buy these mirrors without hesitation for 4X the original price. I like then that much.

Multivex was very popular but went out of business because their supplier went away. If you had a vehicle that they didn't have a pattern for they had a form you could fill out and for about $170 (IIRC) they would make a set for you. Then that vehicle was added to the list. I'll look through my email history and see if I still have a copy (tomorrow).

The did not offer heated mirrors. They had a kit (or maybe just instructions) to use a black silicone around the edges to seal it to allow the heat to soak through. Yeah, sounds hokey.

They also didn't support mirrors that have turn signaling in the mirror.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking into their top sellers to see what vehicles I can branch into. So far the Lotus and Honda motorcycle owners seem to be the largest market. Once I get the Tacoma mirrors going they'll be added to the website. At that point I'll add the option to have a mirror made that I don't have in production.

I will have to talk to my manufacturer to see if they can add turn signals to the glass.

Sealing the two mirrors together to get heat transfer does sound rather redneck, but I guess it could work. I'll go the route of true heating elements on the glass.

If you happen to stumble across some samples for a BMW R1150RT, I'd be interested as well.

I'll add that the list. Are you on any forums for the bimmer? A group buy will be the easiest way to get a new model off the ground.

The BMW MOA is the most popular forum. It's BMW, so nothing's cheap or free, so you have to pay to play on their forums.

A regular member isn't allowed to do a group buy? I took a quick look and didn't find a classified section. I'm assuming once you're a member that will pop up, correct?
