the F-35 (vertical take-off is only one of the several variations) and supposedly the new helmets the JSF pilots will be wearing..?

That version is only for the Navy and Marines.. that helmet is so they dont have blind spots.. so they can see everywhere..

 

Yea, pretty high tech. They can look straight down between their legs and the synthetic vision will display what they would be seeing if there was no floor or any aircraft parts in the way. I hear it works on female clothing the same way, but that is classified...
