Forgive the rant, but this group will feel my pain... Driving home last night in my '11 DC, just turned 10k miles, and sure enough... I see a big ol' deer head on his way out of a yard crossing the street. I managed to slow down to about 20 or 25mph before the impact, but there was just no avoiding it. Struck him good, pushed him a good 10 yards before the truck stopped and he went ass over tea kettle 4 or 5 times. He managed to get up and jump into the woods, but I think we was running on adrenaline at the point... don't think he made it far. Figures, as I just got around to putting my morimoto's in a couple weeks ago... both headlights need to be replaced.

Anyone want to make a guess at total repair costs? I haven't even talked to the adjuster yet.

wow man im sorry from the looks it doesnt seem tooo bad, bumper, grill, lights(*sigh*) and maybe fender but i can only see the last pic for some reason, the the first two dont show up for me, you could get lights and grill off TW easily! just the bumper and fender if thats an issue would be kinda annoying

It looks to me like both lights, fogs, bumper, grille, both quarter panels and possibly the hood, plus the whole radiator/grille support behind it all. All the pics should be working now.

Ask them to color match your grill when you get it repaired. Also remove your retro fit kit before you turn it in to the body shop.

Both on my to-do list for sure... Just hoping the passenger side headlight didn't get buggered in the wreck... the inside of the housing is all shattered and the light went out... so assuming the insurance company plays nice, I'll pull the headlights before it goes in to be fixed to see if they both still work.

Ha. He got his, there's some blood on the grille and a big streak of bile down the road... my guess is the coyotes had a snack last night.

that sucks, I know your pain though, living in the country I've made my fair share of road kill, I hit a deer in my rear passenger door, luckly it didn't do any damage though.

Well i think good things will come out of this, would definitely be nice to get a plate bumper in the front after something like this! I got rear ended last week

I thought to myself, "i should get a plate bumper now!" but doing just the back wouldnt look to great to me. Although the front by itself is not bad at all... You have the advantage there!

I had a collision with a parking lot lamp post last year in exactly the same spot. Mine cost 5500. New fender, headlamp, a few brackets; mine didn't get the grill.

    Then painting.

If it got the radiator support structure cost can goe way up. I imagine 'cause they'll have to take a lot of parts off and get the mechanics involved too.
