That's funny, that was my first thought, and my buddy actually offered to help. If I don't catch this little F%^er, before I try poison I'll try that. I've got a decently powerful pellet gun, should do the job if I put it in his head.

    Looking!
That's what I did. Cat loved it. However, after a few years the flying squirrels went away, and the dadgum ground squirrels started breaking in! It's not easy. I'm getting ready to cut some trees down that are near the house, to make it harder for them to jump onto the roof.

Been a week and the thing's set the trap off once and eaten the bait without setting it off once, so I'm thinking it's a mouse and not a squirrell. I'm giving it one more night and then I'm getting some good old break-its-neck traps and setting them up there. If that don't work I'm going with the antifreeze solution.

Ha, that would be something funny to see. It's definitely mice, deer mice. Went to the Depot yesterday, bought 6 kill traps, and this morning 3 dead deer mice, 1 trap set off but nothing in it, and 2 traps with no bait but not set off. I bought 4 fancy, modern plastic snap traps, and 2 old fashion ones, and the 2 old fashions are the ones they ate the bait off without setting it off. The plastic ones are great, easy to set and clearly pretty effective. I sealed up a couple of entry points I found, but tonight will tell whether we have a bad problem or not. Where there's 3 mice, there's probably more but I'm hoping not.
