If I had a lift, I'd be all over that...LOL. I got the rear main done as well as oil pan gasket... I pulled the pan after tranny was out. Disconnected oil pickup and pan came right out. I had to clean the pan and engine bottom, because it was covered in oil gunk and I wanted to get the mating surface as clean as possible...

Getting the tranny in without tranny jack is whole another story  After bench pressing the tranny I got it in. Popped in place. TWO hours JUST for that...

Needles to say the truck is a rust bucket and pretty much all rubber bushings are shot.

If I were a mechanic, I would require double time to even touch it with ten foot pole...LOL

If the owner wasn't my brother, I'd charge up the ass for this job... I had a full garage, air tools, engine hoist and pretty much everything to do the job, besides tranny jack & lift...

Ya when I pulled the shifter, the gasket/bushing fell apart so I couldn't finish today. I need to get the part from FORD dealer tomorrow :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ha ya know I like your lightning... It is different working on lightning which is an awesome and somewhat of a collectible as opposed to 94' F150 with undercarriage covered in oil and pretty much everything rusted out... After I got home and looked in the mirror, I saw someone who looked like they showered in grease & oil...
