Speaking of interesting news...it looks like me and a bunch of other guys on here will be headed back to the war. For me it will be a lot sooner than I was expecting. I guess it just means that much more money to spend on the truck.

It's obvious your complaint is with the gov't because you went from News Media to Gov't...and that's what gets threads locked nowadays...

And about having WAY too much time- 24 hours a day and the internet means that there isn't enuf news to go around any more....

 

The media is government run that is why you don't hear about anything important. If you want to hear what is really going on in the world listen to Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. They have radio shows everyday and Hannity has his own show on TV every night. Now they are hardcore Conservatives but I think they discuss real issues and they make valid points. Now don't go bashing them either unless you listen to them.

 

X2...........the government doesn't want the media warning the remaining people in this country not staring at their intestines 24/7, that give a shit about the government fucking our country to death to get all organized and fuck up how the government is gonna fuck us next. Article 10 is a restriction on the states, not the federal government. It was put in place to prevent an individual state was generating it's own currency. It has nothing to do with US paper currency.

 

Not against the rules to quote the Constitution. It's the political disscussions that are banned. They lead to too much ill-will and no one is really convinced by it anyway.

 

I think the real problem is they rely too much on press agencies and don't do enough of their own reporting. It's much cheaper to grab what's on the AP Wire. There's plenty of news out there even with the internet. It's just no one in the press is looking.

 

I don't believe that. If it were true, GW Bush would have had only pro coverage from the media (he was government as well). The problem is confirmation bias. They'll only report on things or interpret them to fit their bias, unless it's already turned into a scandal and they're forced to cover it. They seem unwilling to stand outside their own political perspectives or report on something that harms their perspective, even if it's true.
